Below is a map of the holiday decorations in Del Ray, Alexandria, both decorated homes (snowflake icon) and painted holiday cards (square icon). This site was created by new Del Ray residents to help this great neighborhood find seasonal cheer. There are so many more than one map can hold, but these were a few that we noticed.
Suggested walking path: If you’re doing a walking tour and want to maximize your route, one idea is to start in the south and walk across Luray to check out Holiday Card Lane (Luray Ave) for its cluster of amazing painted holiday cards. From there, skirt Alexandria Ave west of Mt. Vernon to see several decorated houses, then turn up to catch 409 Nelson Ave. Heading north, explore the horizontal side streets off Mt. Vernon, and finish with the homes in Warwick Village along with some especially impressive displays on Russell Rd and Burgess Ave.
